Bruno Ternon

Bruno has more than two decades of hands-on leadership experience in all areas of Operational Excellence and Business Process Management. He has worked internationally with clients to design and implement strategic and tactical initiatives that achieve breakthrough performance in revenue growth, improve return on invested capital, reduce operating costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Bruno has demonstrated expertise in leading global operational assessments, identifying high impact opportunities, managing project portfolios, and coaching project teams to deliver tangible and sustainable results. His areas of experience include consumer products, financial services, e-commerce, logistics, heavy manufacturing, defense, chemical, healthcare, and oil and gas.

Prior to joining Firefly Consulting, Bruno acted as Lean Six Sigma global champion at Amazon.com and was previously a director with George Group Consulting and Accenture management consulting specializing in new product development and Lean manufacturing. Earlier in his career, he acted as director of mechanical engineering respectively for In Focus Systems, Kaiser Electronics, and Teledyne.

Bruno has been an adjunct faculty member at UC Berkeley and is fluent in English and French.

Notable Achievements

  • Led a comprehensive cost reduction initiative for a new large construction vehicle series that resulted in 30% lower manufacturing cost per unit while earning a national industry award for design innovation. The team also achieved a 50% reduction in new product development cycle time.
  • Successfully introduced and orchestrated the Lean Six Sigma deployment at a Fortune 300 corporation with 35 manufacturing sites in EMEA. Built an organization of 40+ qualified multi-lingual consultants in less than 3 months to support this initiative that yielded over $100M in savings in its first year.
  • Trained and mentored over 1,500 Green Belts, Black Belts, Master Black Belts, Champions, and executives from over 20 different multi-national corporations, including developing a comprehensive Lean Six Sigma deployment plan for the back office of a major international bank.
  • Successfully improved processes for a number of call centers and in all cases achieved breakthrough improvements that exceeded customer expectations; one of which in particular was considered instrumental in boosting the company’s ranking from last place to 3rd nationwide.
