Firefly Consulting was founded by Kimberly Watson-Hemphill, a globally known expert in the field of Innovation and Operational Excellence. She was previously a partner with Accenture and a Vice President of George Group Consulting, and is currently on the faculty of the Acton School of Business. Her goal is to drive high-impact, sustainable results for clients.
Kristine Nissen Bradley
Kristine has over twenty years of experience in all areas of business process management and improvement, with demonstrated expertise in Six Sigma, Lean, Design for Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, Total Quality Management, cost reduction, simulation and statistical modeling. She has deployed process improvement methods to clients around the world, training and coaching over 1,000 Green Belts, Black Belts, Master Black Belts and Champions in North America, Europe and Asia.
Marshall is a Master Black Belt with over 25 years of experience as a management consultant, trainer, and coach helping clients design, plan, and implement value-creating continuous process improvements in their organizations. Marshall has deep hands-on experience in Lean, Six Sigma, Design for Lean Six Sigma, and New Product Development. He has experience in the manufacturing, consumer products, food service, medical test, insurance, and airline industries.
Dan has over twenty years of experience in delivering results through implementation, coaching and training. He is a Lean Master and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt who has worked in discrete and continuous process manufacturing, service environments, financial institutions, and government agencies. Dan has worked with very diverse clients and cultures in 16 countries in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia and has trained and coached over 1,000 Green Belts, Black Belts, Master Black Belts, Champions and Senior Leaders.
Chuck has three decades of performance improvement experience in both transactional and manufacturing environments. He has applied his passion for disciplined, rapid improvement with senior executives, middle managers, supervisors and single contributors in the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe, designing and leading programs with as few as 12 and over 500 participants, saving clients millions of dollars, often reducing cycle times more than 70%, streamlining processes and fundamentally changing enterprise operations and the organizations’ competitive position in the market.
Lisa Custer, PhD
Lisa is a Master Black Belt with over twenty five years of experience in all aspects of process management and continuous improvement. Lisa's specialties are Six Sigma, Lean, Design, Total Productive Maintenance and Total Quality Management. Lisa has successfully deployed Operational Excellence and has trained and mentored over 1500 senior leaders, black belts, green belts and kaizen leaders on all regions of the world. Lisa has a Ph.D. and MSE in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University and a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
René has over 20 years of experience working with clients to develop effective industrial operations improvement strategies. Working across industries, he has recently led process improvement initiatives in electronics, mechanical fabrication, engineering R&D, health care, and government/defense contractor supply chain management. As a Master Black Belt, operations Lean Master, and Kaizen leader, he has trained and coached over 1,500 Black Belts, 650 Green Belts, and 150 Master Black Belts.
Jeff is an accomplished Executive Leader with more than 27 years of experience helping businesses achieve their strategic goals through performance transformation and improvement. He has worked with many Fortune 500 senior executives around the world and led numerous global Operational Excellence deployments and Performance Transformations. He has been a major contributor to the books Lean Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma for Service, Fast Innovation, and Doing More with Less.
Keith has twenty years of experience in continuous improvement, with broad functional expertise in both manufacturing and service businesses. He is an experienced deployment leader and has trained over 1,000 executives, Black Belts and Green Belts. Additionally, he has led over 75 Kaizen events. Previously, he has been the Rapid Continuous Improvement leader at Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, a Principal at Accenture, an Engagement Director at George Group and a Master Black Belt at Celanese Chemicals. He has a BS in Chemical Engineering, and is a certified Master Black Belt.
Jeff Kahne, PhD
Jeff brings over 20 years of organizational and process improvement experience in service and manufacturing industries, including financial services, healthcare, chemicals and plastics, DoD combat operations and intelligence, semiconductors, as well as international logistics. He has broad experience in Fortune 500 companies throughout North America, Asia, and Europe. He is recognized as a leader in the area of process improvement – requested to speak at conferences and universities in the U.S. and China on the subject of Business Process Management, Six Sigma, and Lean Methodologies.
Kimberly is a certified Master Black Belt with over 20 years of process improvement experience. An engineer with a strong operations background, Kimberly has a special interest in applying the Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to design and improve business and service processes. Kimberly consistently receives high marks from clients for her ability to communicate the tools and techniques of process improvement in an interesting and accessible manner, resulting in sustainable business results for her clients. Kimberly has trained and mentored hundreds of belts, working with a wide variety of manufacturing, business, and service industries around the world.
Roy honed his process improvement expertise at General Electric where he was at the forefront of their Six Sigma program and became one of GE's very first Six Sigma Master Black Belts. Prior to earning his Master Black Belt designation Roy held numerous leadership positions in both design engineering and manufacturing operations. He was also a key member of the corporate team that developed GE's Design for Six Sigma training curriculum.
Heather brings a fresh perspective to marketing and design at Firefly, where she is an evangelist for the talent and capabilities of the consulting team. Growing up a Foreign Service brat and having worked in creative industries for 12 years, her experience is international and interdisciplinary, with breadth that spans from assisting a Tony Award-winning director on the Steppenwolf stage to working as a freelance hair stylist in Chile.
Mark is a Master Black Belt with over 20 years of combined consulting and industry experience. Experienced in both transactional and manufacturing organizations, Mark has delivered multiple lean transformation and continuous improvement deployments, resulting in millions of dollars in improved operational efficiency, customer value/service and sustainable cost reductions. As a process improvement consultant, Mark has successfully deployed operational excellence around the world and has trained and mentored hundreds of senior leaders, black belts, green belts and kaizen leaders throughout North America, Asia and Europe.
